The Lobby

The 210 Simcoe lobby incorporates luxury, industrial and reclaimed elements. Immersed in natural light that is reflected throughout the space by a band of clerestory mirrors, the 18 foot ceiling is given the illusion of even greater height due to the thick reclaimed timber planks set in louvered tiers. The luminous effect is softened by floor tiles of matte black porcelain inset with polished stripes. Above, a black metal and hand-blown glass chandelier hangs as a focal piece tying together the various material and textural elements.

Framed by white Statuario marble archways, the caramel veining in the nero port'oro marble reception desk echoes the warmth of the ceiling and uncomplicated wood and dark leather benches. Beyond the second archway is the lounge area whose grey brick walls set off the water feature of weaved bronze cascading into concrete ponds.
